Join us for a twilight bike tour of some astonishing Naenae history sites! The Illuminating Naenae Bike Tour will enlighten you about the history of some of the significant areas of Naenae - where the mayor of Wellington called home, the site of Wi Tako’s pa, and the place where all the money was hidden in WW2…
Meet the Naenae Clubhouse crew at 4pm to pimp your bike with glow sticks and LEDS, then take off on the tour. You’ll finish up back at Treadwell Hall with a cup of tea and a biscuit.
Please make sure you bring your own bike and helmet. Under 13s must have an adult with
them, unless they are Clubhouse members (with signed permission).
Clubhouses are creative technology spaces for people aged 10-18 and are totally free to use. The Clubhouse mission is to provide a creative and safe out-of-school learning environment where young people work with adult mentors to explore their own ideas, develop new skills, and build confidence in themselves through the use of technology. Naenae and Taita Clubhouses are part an international community of 100 Clubhouses located in 19 countries. The Clubhouse Network is a program of the Museum of Science, Boston in collaboration with the MIT Media Lab. This project is supported by funding from Hutt City Council’s Creative Communities Scheme.
